You can also choose from the more than 1,000 pre-built business reports in finance, HR, supply chain, and other domains that come with Orbit and are certified for Oracle E-Business Suite. These reports can be run on-demand or scheduled through the Orbit Scheduler. If you refresh your data, XLEdge will automatically retain all the custom formatting, calculations, charts, and pivots you’ve built.

Control Access and Data Security

Orbit leverages your existing enterprise security policies, so there’s no need for duplicate security or user setup when using XLEdge. When Orbit fetches and refreshes data in Excel, it will only update with data that users are permitted to access via role-based authentication. When a user wants to fetch, view, or manage reports within Excel, they simply need to log into XLEdge using their Orbit credentials. This protects sensitive reports and ensures secure access to your data while offering the same content available in the web-based Orbit application.
